Birthday Festivities pt. 1

Let me first start off by clarifying something:
No, I am not dead.
Okay now that we have that settled!

This is like one of those things. One of those things that you put off for so long, that you have no idea how to get back to it. So, what I decided to do, was just take a smattering of snapshots I’ve taken over the last few weeks, and pepper a few stories along the way.

It was Birthday Festivity time a while back there, my birthday being on the 19th of October, and Britain's on the 20th.

It was all a big surprise to me, which was fun. It started off with some birthday Dosas! Delicious. This evolved into Britain and I spending a relaxing day at Bharath's (our local friend and Botanist) farm.
His gate

Some stuff growing on a tree.

You tell me!

Inside of the Greenhouse.

This is actually a pretty cool picture! I won't spoil it by telling you what it is!

Orchids! They were everywhere!

Birthday CHEESE

Britain posing as an Orchid while holding one.

C'mon... more birthday CHEESE?!

A cool view...

Inside of a flower

BEES!

Paradise!

When we arrived back home, Eliza was in the middle of preparing an epic table with some hand made cornucopias.

Bevan and Rajesh getting dominated in cards.

The preparations! It's BUUUUURRITO time!
Oh they were so good...

Eliza doing magic with her hand.

Eatin' time.

Eliza and Kayshep

The finale, a banana split made to perfection.

Now, I know what you are all thinking. Man, it's so easy being the birthday boy.
Let me tell you before we move on, that it has it's stresses!
Just follow along this picture sequence and you can see what I mean...

Time to open presents! But this string is so hard to unknot...

Really, guys... the string?

The Kodak Moment. The string has been defeated!

VICTORIOUS!
(you can see Kannama reaching for a present, I mean, who wouldn't want to open one?)

Yep, yep... she is opening it, she's really doing it.

Uncovered at the same time, two books of gem-like quality.

Murakami: The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle
His Holiness the Dalai Lama: The Art of Happiness at Work

Now that's how you have a birthday celebration!
Of course. It would have been better if you would have been here, but hey, there's always next year! Right?!
